I just ran into the same problem, there is no alarm user available. Logging in with: user: root pass: root works fine though - I think we should update the raspi page accordingly.

I'm not sure if that REALLY helps, man. You have to disable the default dnsmasq shipped with Debian!! If not nothing will work correctly, like the catch-all DNS request.

I was able to comment out the configuration line above dhcp that delt with DNS and the catch-all seemed to work. I agree, a Debian setup is very broken.

You can actually delete this thread if you want. After I did a 'pacman -Syu' I couldn't login via ssh root:root but could still log in via serial root:root.

Alright, I just ran into the same problem. After an update, the sshd config was updated and root login was no longer allowed. Could still login with alarm//alarm though.
