No internet broadcast

Hi,
I am setting up a raspberry pi piratebox. All the pacakges start up fine, and there are no errors at all. But, I can not get a signal from the raspberry pi. I am doing the manual diy setup. Whenever i go to 192.168.77.1 my computer can not load it, nor get a connection from piratebox. How do you fix this?

You see no wifi network?
Can you verify that hostap is running?
What is the name of your wifi card?

Hostap starts up perfectly fine, no errors. The card is made by realtek, as far as my computer says.

Hi,
Sorry to bother you again. The internet adapter blew out. I am using ethernet, and I modded the /network/interfaces file. Whenever the raspberry pi starts, it says: ifup: couldn't read interfaces file "etc/network/interfaces" failed. Is there anyway anyone could copy/paste the netork interfaces file into this forum? It would be greatly apprieciated! Thanks!
P.S (If you copy paste could you get the ethernet version on this forum?)

Box reading from /Shared on SD Card vs reading from /Shared on external 1TB hard drive.

I have a box set up and running smoothly on all accounts except that it doesn't transfer uploaded files to (or acknowledge the existing files on) the external hard drive. I've put google to the test, but can't seem to find a solution for changing which directory the box reads from/uploads to. I have /mnt/usbdrive/Shared established and preloaded with content (such as movies, files, etc) and it's formatted in FAT32; the box just doesn't seem to want to read from it. Thoughts?

Disregard. I fixed it following the tutorial on FAT32 USBs. I was merely typing the wrong thing.

uhm. ok, I think I need to setup a testing box to reproduce it.
Can you post your interface config file here?

changing permission of folder in usb

I am trying to install owncloud on USB
I moved the installation on /mnt/usb/PirateBox/ and tried to install it,
but it gives error as
Language: PHP
Data directory (/mnt/usb/PirateBox/owncloud/data) is readable for other users Please change the permissions to 0770 so that the directory cannot be listed by other users.

it require changing permission to 770 but its not working in openwrt,

there is no permission to change the directory permission, I searched for the issue and ca,e to know that external drive is needed to be mounted with option
Language: PHP
-o permission

but there is no option in mount command like permission,
how to do that ?

drwxrwxrwx 2 0 0 16384 May 29 2015 data

Hi, Matthias thinks you should change /etc/fstab, and modify /dev/sda1 mount options with:
uid=nobody,gid=nogroup,umask=007,dir_mode=0770,file_mode=0770
