For the cheaest rasperry pirate box that works with minimal installation needs or knowledge required. First off need to get your hands on these; and so far as I can tell are the cheapest market priced products on the web, but stil qulity.
1) Raspberry Pi Model A : Get here for $20 ----> [www.mcmelectronics.com]
2) TP-Link TL-WN722N : Get here for $12.xx -----> [www.amazon.com] (Note this is 100% plug n playm NO setup of driver bullshit)
3) 1 HDMI Cable for setup use only, then box can be left on without keyboard, mouse, nor monitor!
4) 1 Micro USB Power Adapter
5) ANY Case you want off Ebay (cheap one that addafruit sells and I just got for both my model As can be found here for $9 ----> [www.ebay.com]
6) Download the image from this site found here -----> ( Copy & Paste into address bar) the Magnet link found here ----> [forum.piratebox.cc]
Unzip image
7) Write the disk to a clean formated 8-16GB (personal pref) the "raw disk image" that is extracted from the torrent download in step 5. You should use this tool FREE -----> [sourceforge.net]
8) After the image is on the SD card, insert into the Pi, and boot up!
POST INSTALL:
1) Login using user "root" & password "root"
2) Follow the simple on screen instructions that the image will provide you, and Walaa!
Only around $40 to make this, and is far easier than any other raspberry Pi model install. I have tried on all the pis on the market. Although for about $5-10 cheaper, you can get a TP-Link MR3020 / 3040 and intall on them although your risk messing them up via bricking or other means... the pi supperior in that if you mess up (if thats possible) then you can erase your SD and start again!
well hope this helps someone who doesnt know what to buy or how to go along doing the install. Let me know if anyone can ADD to this in a good way or if you need help.
